DISSOLUTION
A moving dialogue between space, boundaries and freedom
Facilitator: Marina Pereira
ABOUT
Dance is one of the ancient, bodily ways of expressing our inner world through movement. This is a space of uncertainty and unpredictability, when we do not know what will happen in the next moment. But in order to navigate the heart of this process, we need to know some destinations, have a map and an alphabet with us in order to communicate with clarity and confidence. Gradually, we will practice speaking with space, music, gravity, body and many other partners. Improvisation is a reflection of an inner monologue. It is a fusion of technique, conditions and sensitivity to surrounding forces.

Dissolution is a block of improvisation classes where many tools are assumed to develop individual dance expression. The aim of the course is to harmoniously combine your inner sense of movement with physical vocabulary, to awaken individual creativity.

FORMATS OF STUDY

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
MENTORING STRUCTURE:

FIRST MEETING
Together we will set a date for a meeting in Zoom to get to know each other and understand the training needs. During the session we will together create a small structure of the process we want to move along and determine how many classes a participant needs, how long, at what time and in what direction he wants to develop.

PRACTICE PROCESS
Classes will take place through Zoom online. To do this, you need to have space for free movement. In parallel with this process, I will share with you additional material that can support your independent process. And I will also ask questions, homework to enrich your process.

COMPLETION
The final online session, where we summarize the course and share feedback

She graduated from "Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University", the Institute of Music, Theater and Choreography, where she worked in depth to develop her abilities as a choreographer and performer.

Since 2016 Marina has immersed herself in the Play-Fight and Liquid Body practices. She began to actively study outside of Russia, which dramatically influenced her perception of the body and sense of herself in the world. The core of her teaching and research has become more focused on the principles of relaxation, falling and the force of gravity. Sensitivity to resistance and tension in the body became more present in the approach to practice and significantly altered the state and effect of the body-mind relationship.

Gradually, after several years of assisting Bruno Caverna (founder of the FA philosophy) at various festivals and camps around the world, she acquired the role of a senior member of the Formless Arts team, where she develops and supervises photo and video projects, as well as graphic design and website creation.

Marina currently lives in Brazil and she is developing her own online and offline improvisation development program called "Dissolution".
